CASHFLOW QUADRANT: WHICH QUADRANT ARE YOU IN RIGHT NOW?

In Robert Kiyosaki's book, CASHFLOW QUADRANT, he discussed about the 2 types of income: ACTIVE AND PASSIVE INCOME. If you will have a choice, which quadrant you'd rather be into?


What is ACTIVE INCOME? you generate this type of income when you  sell your time and effort for money.
The perfect examples of people belonging to this type of income are EMPLOYEES AND SELF EMPLOYED.

EMPLOYEES - they need to come to work everyday and sell their time and effort for money.If they will be absent from work, they will not generate income.

SELF EMPLOYED - the perfect examples of these people are Doctors, Lawyers, small business owners, Artists, Dentists, etc.
They need to work to generate income. For an example if a Doctor didn't work in a hospital or clinic for a month, he will not generate income.


What is PASSIVE INCOME then? you generate this type of income without selling your time and effort for money. In other words, you are letting people, system, or money work for you. There are two categories for Passive Income.

BUSINESS OWNER - When you become a business owner, you don't just own a simple business but you have people working for you, and you have a system too. The perfect example of this is Henry Sy of SM Malls, and Lucio Tan of PAL.

Active income or Passive income, which one do you think is better?

The good news is that even if you belong in the Active Income part of quadrants, you can still make a switch to passive income. How did I know? Of course, my husband and I made that decision 3 years ago. When will you make yours?
